I think you need a stronger online presence

Trying to give feedback in a non-criticizing way.

Some of these threads are very old and not many are responded to by the store staff or anyone, and some people have left advertisements on some threads, so it doesn't seem monitored. And the front page has a book meeting dating back to May 2010...an old unused site just isn't encouraging and there's no feeling of warmth or welcome if it's abandoned.

If you like historical fiction type books

I recommend :

"The Pillars of the Earth" & "World Without End" by Ken Follet. Right now, it's also a mini-series available to watch on Netflix, but the mini-series doesn't get the whole book correct, and while the book is massively long, the characters are engaging and interesting to follow. Check it out.

Also, check out the Kent Chronicles by John Jakes. It's an older series but it spans time, family, and decades in an 8 volume collection. Very interesting and entertaining. The first book in the series is called "The Bastard."

If you like Young Adult novels, take a look at these

I'm not talking "Twilight" by Stephanie Meyer in this post, however, I did enjoy the book series before the movies came out.

If you like Young Adult books, you might like these authors:

"Gone" by Michael Grant. When the entire population ages 15 and up disappear one school afternoon...the children who are left struggle to find a balance to live in a world without any adults. This book has sequels that are just as engaging as the first novel.

If you like SciFi with Strong Women Roles...

I like my SciFi kicking butt. Preferrably a woman kicking someone else's butt. So I like my women strong, opinionated, fiesty, and I like the writing interesting and engaging. I've found that these authors help me keep both criteria in check. Maybe you'll like them too.

If you like Romance books

If you like Romance, these books might be ones you want to try out.

There are plenty more romantic authors out there whom I have not read as I haven't read some decent romance books in a while, I'm not saying these next books are the BEST out there, but I personally find them fun and interesting. If you have others, again, please post up and share. I'm always looking for a new GOOD book to read.

If you like Zombies / Zombie books

I know...it's an acquired taste. Not everyone likes the shambling walking dead. It can be gruesome, sad, and frightening however; it's also wildly entertaining as well, if you're into or looking to get into the genre. A lot of the times, it's not just about the walking dead, it's about the population of people left behind in the stories that make the most entertaining subjects.

I'm new to Chapters

ok, I'm new to the Chapters website and boards. I heard a commercial on the radio about Chapters in Pittsfield and was delighted to hear of a book store on North Street so I decided to visit and lend a few topics to the boards :)

I have not yet visited, so I'm not sure what kind of books that the bookstore carries or maintains, so I wanted to start a few topics on the boards to generate some information/lists of books that I've liked over the years that maybe some of you may like as well.

If you are willing to buy a car, you would have to get the credit loans. Furthermore, my mother all the time uses a college loan, which occurs to be really reliable.
